Incumbents re-elected to InternetNZ council

David Farrar, Keith Davidson and Simon Riley appointed as Fellows at AGM

An election decided at the InternetNZ annual general meeting last night in Wellington brought no change to the ranks of the ruling council.

All four members chosen are existing councillors, who would have had to stand down after the AGM if not re-elected. The election extends their term of office for another three years.

Those elected were Nathan Torkington, Dave Moskvitz, Donald Clark and Michael Wallmansberger. Missing out on election were Dave Mill and Richard Orzecki.

“The candidates that stood against them were strong,” said InternetNZ president Frank March

The society also appointed an unprecedented number of three Fellows at the one AGM. The new Fellows are former president and chief executive Keith Davidson, blogger David Farrar and Simon Riley, consultant and regular watchdog over the organisation’s workings.
