Steve Murray has resigned as managing director of EDS in New Zealand.
In a statement today, EDS said Murray, who took up the MD role in May 2006, had resigned for family reasons.
He has been replaced in the interim by Alfonso Gomez, who leads EDS’ Fonterra account.
(EDS has a large outsourcing deal with Fonterra).
Gomez will serve as acting managing director until a permanent replacement for Murray is appointed.
In addition to being MD, Murray was EDS’ account executive for the government and finance sectors. He has been replaced by Alan Bennett in the government role and Steve Ingram in the finance role in the interim.
Before joining EDS, Murray was chief executive of Tainui Group Holdings.
