CA is laying off up to a dozen local staff, many from its Wellington office, Computerworld understands.
The redundancies could be part of an Asia-Pacific wide programme within CA to devolve more of its operations to the reseller channel.
"At this stage I can't comment," local manager Stuart Preston said when contacted by Computerworld today. "We are consulting with staff about our plans, but under the due process we are following I can't comment until that's completed."
In November, CA shed staff in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, with the aim of conducting more business in those countries through channel partners.
At the time, CA denied the move would affect New Zealand or Australia.
