GOVIS has adopted a one-day mini-conference programme for the “odd” years between biennial GOVIS conferences.
The first will take place in Wellington on May 2. There are four programme streams: enterprise architecture within government; geospatial, as an enabler for safety, environment and economic growth; green IT — sustainable computing; and information management in government.
None of the streams will be sponsored. Committee organiser Liz Kolster, from the State Services Commission, says this is because such conferences are often dominated by industry players.
The conference will be entirely funded by the $595 registration fee.
