SAP has announced plans to release two new additions to Netweaver.
At its recent Sapphire conference in Orlando, Florida, the vendor unveiled plans to release SAP Netweaver Business Process Management and Netweaver Business Rules Management.
According to SAP, “the addition of the planned capabilities will enable business process experts to design, model and immediately execute new or adapted processes without having to develop code”.
SAP Netweaver Business Process Management and Netweaver Business Rules Management will become available to certain customers in the third quarter of this year and will go to general release in 2009.
SAP Netweaver Business Process Mangement was developed at SAP under the code name “Project Galaxy”. According to SAP, it is “planned to provide customers a standardised, unified environment for the implementation and management of complex, multifaceted business processes focusing on four cornerstones: unified modeling, business rules management, immediate execution speeds time to value, and built-in efficiencies via enterprise services repository.”
