Corpendo announces travel takeover

Company to take majority stake in Global Availability

Auckland-based Corpendo New Zealand has announced it is taking over online accomodation booking software company Global Availability.

Corpendo is taking a majority stake in Global Availability in an agrement that will take effect on June 1.

Global Availability develops ResBook, an online accommodation reservation and booking system for the tourism industry.

The software is used by over 600 accommodation and tourism providers in New Zealand, according to a statement released today by Corpendo.

John Hayson, Corpendo's CEO, says the buy complements Corpendo's current business with airlines Air Pacific and Air Vanuatu.
