High profile Oracle Asia-Pacific chief and former Australian and New Zealand managing director Brian Mitchell has parted ways with the company, replaced by his counterpart at Oracle acquisition BEA.
An Oracle spokesman confirmed Mitchell had left the company.
"Following the retirement of Brian Mitchell, Steve Au Yeung, who used to lead BEA's Asia Pacific and Japan division, has joined Oracle as senior vice president, Oracle Asia Pacific," he said.
Mitchell led Oracle in Australia and New Zealand from late 2000 to 2004. He was then promoted into a strategic role overseeing Oracle's integration of rivals Siebel and Peoplesoft in the Asia-Pacific region, before being again promoted, in June 2006, to the Asia-Pacific lead (not including Japan).
Au Yeng will report to Oracle president Charles Phillips.
This organisation change fully leverages the talents of both organisations that together have a larger global footprint of development, sales and services professionals to address customer needs," the spokesman said.
Au Yeng has previously held positions including vice president and general manager of the global Software Business Unit for Asia Pacific with Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific.
