Australian business software company Sybiz has purchased the interests of its New Zealand distributor, Revolution Systems. The deal will enable Sybiz to work more closely with its clients, says the company.
A new channel manager has been appointed and will be announced shortly, says Sybiz.
“It was the right time for Sybiz to establish a stronger local presence in New Zealand," says Sybiz' managing director, Peter Whalley. "We have been pleased with the relationship that we have built with Revolution, on the back of consistent growth."
There are significant opportunities and challenges ahead for the local market, says Whalley. New Zealand's economy is strong, yet the market is impacted by global economic instability, he says.
Sybiz has had a presence in the New Zealand market for 25 years, initially establishing a direct presence in the 1980s before handing representation to Revolution Systems.
Revolution became Sybiz' top international distributor for more than a decade, establishing a strong dealer network in both the North and South Island, says the company.
Customers and resellers of Sybiz are in the process of being informed, says Whalley. Existing staff are currently undertaking Sybiz' corporate induction programme, he says.
Mike Francis, managing director of Revolution Systems, will continue to work with Sybiz specific projects.
