Telecom oversight group goes online

Site delivers information on operational separation

The Independent Oversight Group (IOG) set up to monitor and report on Telecom’s separation undertakings has made its online debut.

The website contains information on the IOG’s functions, membership and processes. The website will be updated regularly with reports and decisions on the activities of the IOG, a statement released today says.

The IOG's role is to monitor Telecom’s progress towards separation milestones and its on-going compliance with separation undertakings. It also investigates complaints from service providers regarding Telecom’s compliance.

The IOG reports to Telecom's board and the Commerce Commission.
