Services company Code Blue has made its first foray into the provinces, signing Hawkes Bay company Logical to its franchise model, which CEO Ken Davis describes as similar to that of the former Computerland group.
The Hastings-based company will be known as Code Blue Hawkes Bay.
Code Blue offers a fixed price fully managed service, which it claims can cut the cost for small to medium sized businesses of running PCs and a network by up to 40%.
It has branches in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch. Davis says he expects to announce another provincial franchise before Christmas. Code Blue Hawkes Bay manager Marcus Smith says the branch has some big customers in Australia.
“Software developed here locally for apple-packing houses and meat processors is now mature and selling overseas, so we’re supporting that for international buyers. We can now support overseas sites remotely from Hastings.”
