WebAssist launches SiteAssist Professional

Product for web developers launched

Adobe extension maker WebAssist has introduced SiteAssist Professional, a new product aimed at web developers.

Using SiteAssist with Dreamweaver, developers are able to build CSS-based websites, with navigation, simply and quickly, the company says. SiteAssist walks developers through the steps necessary to build a website, bypassing many of the hurdles normally associated with the process.

The setup wizard lets users select from a variety of industry-specific website templates including those for clubs or associations, consultants, education, medical professionals, non-profits and real estate. Layout options in the second step allow you to choose fonts, colour, and navigation; users are free to mix-and-match to create their own designs.

Page layouts are assigned in the next step. A complete slate of page types, also known as information architecture wireframes, is included. After the site is created, it can be modified for directly within Dreamweaver.

SiteAssist includes 16 layouts or you can choose to create your own. The new version also allows users to customise their pages to include Spry or other JavaScript framework components within the template.

SiteAssist Professional is compatible with Dreamweaver CS3 and Dreamweaver 8 on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. It retails for US$199.99 (NZ$286), but is available for US$149.99 for a limited time.
