AMD has unveiled three triple-core processors, adding to several released earlier this year.
The new processors are the Phenom X3 8750 Black Edition, the Phenom X3 8450e and the Phenom X3 8250e.
The chips are aimed at the gaming community, as well as digital content creators.
Dan Olds, principal analyst with the Gabriel Consulting Group, notes that while AMD's technology is still well behind rival Intel, the triple cores are a welcome addition to the chips being offered.
"They do fill a slot in the market, providing a balance of price versus power," Olds says.
AMD released its first triple-core chip in March, three more a month later and another last month.
