Armfield joins QAD

Ex-CA exec makes move

Former CA Pacific head Tony Armfield, who left CA last month after eight years at the company, has joined business software maker QAD as Australia-New Zealand managing director.

Armfield, a New Zealander who began his career with CA in New Zealand in 2001, rose to head the company’s local operations before moving to Australia and later taking up the CA Pacific head role.

His resignation in early October was one of several high-profile departures from CA. Others include former CA New Zealand country manager Stuart Preston, who left for Oracle earlier this year, and former Australian-based vice president of channel sales Allan Smith, who also left this year.
