Senior IT engineer writes: My job involves setting the IT direction at my organisation and managing LAN/WAN (20-plus sites), servers (30-plus) and security (400-plus users). I work for a services company and have been in the role for five years. My skills include management, projects, policy preparation and compliance and internal audit. My previous roles include manager of data networks implementation. I have 25-plus years in IT, including 15 in networking and the most recent five specifically in security. My qualifications include Cisco design and troubleshooting, Unix administration (Sun, AIX) and network management (various). I manage a small team of five engineers and previously managed a team of 15 with Cisco.
