MED delivers online patent applications

Online filing to save time and money

The Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand, part of the Ministry of Economic Development, has introduced an online patent filing service, Patents Online.

The office says this is one of many web enhancements being introduced in the next few months. It aims to save time and compliance costs.

"This online service is a simple, fast, and effective way to apply for a patent," IPONZ says in a newsflash, "no more filling in paper forms and dealing with couriers or fax machines."

Patent applicants need to register with the IPONZ site to use the service.
