Hitachi Data Systems has announced a raft of new appointments as it changes its Australia and New Zealand sales organisations from a geographic to a vertical focus.
The company says in a statement that it will enable a greater focus on key growth areas of federal government, communication, media and entertainment, and financial services.
In New Zealand, Mark Ireland has joined Hitachi as channel sales manager, based in Wellington. He was at Hewlett-Packard for the past four years. The other appointments are mainly Australia-focused.
“Customers in these vertical markets are increasingly relying on our counsel to maintain an advantage,” says Neville Vincent, managing director for Australia and New Zealand. “To develop this expertise, we are beefing up our team in specific areas to ensure we can offer the best advice to our clients.
“We are a company with strong local ambitions and a clear strategy for growth.”
