Ministry of Health merges two high profile ICT roles

Incumbent Graeme Osborne applying for position

The Ministry of Health has merged two high profile ICT roles into one job and is expected to fill the new position early next year.

The new role is understood to be a combination of the IT operational role at the Ministry of Health previously held by David Miller and the director of the National Health IT Board currently held by Graeme Osborne.

Miller left the Ministry in October to become a director of management consultancy ForeConsulting, as well as programme director for the Ministry of Education’s Novopay schools payroll project.

When he left Osborne took over Miller’s responsibilities.

Osborne has confirmed he is applying for the new role. A decision on an appointment is likely in February.
