Former Compaq and HP executive Ken Erskine has joined Auckland business incubator The Icehouse as start-ups director.
Erskine, who joined HP from Compaq when the former bought the latter, held roles at HP in the early- to mid-2000s including corporate communications and brand director.
He later joined IPFX, where he was most recently alliances and marketing manager.
According to a statement from The Icehouse announcing his appointment, Erskine will be responsible for strategic leadership, support and co-ordination of ICE Accelerator, the Icehouse’s incubator for start-ups, and ICE Angels, a group of Angel investors who invest in Icehouse companies.
He was involved with ICE Angels before taking the role at The Icehouse and his involvement with The Icehouse dates back to his time at HP, which is one of the partners in the venture.
