Ralph Chivers, the CEO of the Telecommunications Carriers’ Forum, is taking a lead in the government's $1.5 billion broadband rollout.
Chivers, a Computerworld columnist, leaves the forum on 5 June to become programme manager for the fibre rollout.
“During his time with the Forum, Ralph has led the TCF into new territory, tackling some of the more difficult areas of industry policy," says Richard Westlake, TCF’s independent chair. "I particularly want to acknowledge the role Ralph took on earlier this year as the industry grappled to respond to the introduction of new copyright legislation. It was a new and complex challenge for TCF — Ralph’s leadership was fundamental in ensuring TCF was capable of meeting that challenge.”
The TCF has started a search for Chivers’ replacement.
