Christchurch-based real-time passenger information provider Connexionz has signed a US$1.5 million (NZ$2.3 million) contract to provide the Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority in San Francisco’s Bay Area with a real-time passenger system.
The deal comes close on the heels of a similar contract with Santa Clarita county, also in California, signed last year, and will be Connexionz’s sixth site in the US.
In a statement to the NZ Stock Exchange announcing the win, Connexionz CEO Roger Carruthers says “Over recent years, Connexionz marketing efforts have been focused primarily in the US, and we are pleased to see further significant reward resulting from this investment.
“Connexionz is now even more strongly positioned to secure further contracts, as we will have significant reference sites on both coasts of the US, and the confidence of our customers based on our success in delivering previous contracts on time and according to contract requirements”.
Connexionz also has passenger systems operating in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
