Computerworld announces award for government ICT

Call for entries for new award for government use of ICT

CIO and Computerworld are pleased to announce that entries for a new award – Excellence in the Use of ICT in Government — are now open on

The awards launch, with the support of EDS, a HP company, is the latest in our series of single, targeted awards for this year.

Government is one of the largest IT sectors in New Zealand. At any one time, hundreds of projects are under way.

This award is to recognise excellence in the use of technology to drive efficiency, transformation and improved services.

Government organisations often do not get the recognition they deserve for innovation and excellence in ICT delivery. This award will help remedy that. It is open to all organisations in central, regional and local government.

Entries are open until 11 September.

The winner of this Award will be announced at a cocktail function at Te Papa, Wellington on 28 October 2009.
