Australasian engineering supply firm BHG Group has chosen a hosted Greentree e-commerce solution to keep pace with its expansion plans.
The group, which is headquartered in the Bay of Plenty region, supplies a wide range of engineering equipment, including bearings, industrial transmissions, hoses and tools.
“We’re like a one-stop shop whereby if a customer comes to us for something, we’ll take that problem away from them,” says IT manager Craig Pope.
The Greentree solution will enable BGH to use Punch-Out, a web-based product ordering system that enables businesses to browse a catalogue, pick their products, verify, then place orders via their own purchase entry system.
“This will be huge for us, being able to deal business-to-business with a quick and simple electronic data interface,” Pope says.
Sales staff, who are equipped with iPads, will be able to update their sales reports in Greentree while on the road.
Pope says Greentree will provide a huge advantage in data analysis. “Our future growth is going to come from specialist areas and corporate business but we need to have leading edge systems in place.”
Greentree is being hosted on Gen-i’s ReadyCloud environment, so BGH pays only for what it needs as Greentree is progressively rolled out to the different companies in the group.
