Vodafone chief marketing officer Mark Rushworth has resigned, and finishes on Friday. In an internal email to staff that was subsequently provided to Computerworld by Vodafone, CEO Russell Stanners says “I am sad to announce that after three years of working with Vodafone, Mark Rushworth will be leaving the business.” After detailing Rushworth’s joining of Vodafone following its acquisition of ihug, where Rushworth was chief executive, Stanners goes on to say “Mark has been a key leader in our business and I would like to thank him for his dedication, as well as the huge contribution he has made to the executive team. “I know he is planning to take a well-deserved summer break and enjoy the sunshine, sand and surf before deciding what’s next.” Stanners will temporarily perform Rushworth’s role until a successor is appointed.
