Ticketing technology specialist wins Launch Pad 2010

Start-up contest at TIG event awards prizes to three entrepreneurs

Ticketing technology provider Dazzle Tickets has won the Telecommunications Industry Group’s Launch Pad 2010 competition, a contest for start-ups.

Dazzle Tickets’ product enables event ticketing from start to finish and won the first prize in the contest, $70,000 worth of products and services.

Second prize went to Life Time Health Diary, which provides a single and complete lifetime health and medical record. The prize was $10,000 sponsorship from the Ministry of Economic Development and a 5102 Hewlett Packard notebook.

Third prize winner was Speech School TV, which received $5,000 sponsorship from the Telecommunications Industry Group and a 5102 HP notebook.

Launch Pad was part of Planet 2010, a communications and technology conference held in Auckland for the first time this year.

“LauchPad has been designed to offer entrepreneurial Kiwis the opportunity to win resources and services to launch their new business and grow that idea into a sustainable business,” says TIG CEO Rob Spray.

Entrants were invited to enter online, and 10 finalists were selected to pitch their idea to a panel of experienced business people at the conference.
