Head of National Health IT Board appointed

Executive chair takes up new role

Graeme Osborne has been appointed to a fulltime role as director of the National Health IT Board.

He is formerly the Accident Compensation Corporation's general manager of information management, and prior to that the CIO at the Department of Statistics.

During the past 12 months, he has led the establishment of the board as the executive chairman. One of the board’s priorities is the delivery of a National Health IT Plan, which received more than 200 submissions.

The draft plan was approved at the board’s most recent meeting and is expected to be released before July 30.
