Senior IT security roles on offer

Two high-profile IT security jobs are up for grabs.

The Government Communications Security Bureau is seeking an Information Technology Security Advisor, while a financial services company is looking to recruit an Information Security Manager.

The GCSB role, advertised on Seek, notes “the IT security advisor is responsible for mitigating IT security risks to GCSB systems.

"The role involves aiding developers in the certification of systems; monitoring of and advising on IT security controls; interpreting and implementing security policy; and providing technical security input into GCSB projects.”

Meanwhile, the Information Security Manager position at the financial services company, also advertised on Seek, involves “the management of information security operations, compliance and risks for assigned business units”, among other capabilities.

It is a new position at the firm.
