Meridian Energy drops TelstraClear from ICT contract

Gen-i is rumoured to have replaced TelstraClear in Fujistu-managed services contract

TelstraClear appears to have been dropped from Meridian Energy’s $50 million ICT services contract but no one is prepared to comment officially.

Computerworld has been told that TelstraClear has been replaced by Gen-i.

Fujitsu is the prime contractor, providing full support services for all desktops, servers, data centres, telemetry, networks, carrier services and the service desk for five years.

TelstraClear was to have delivered all telecommunications services.

Fujitsu wouldn’t comment nor would TelstraClear. Gen-i referred inquiries to Fujitsu for comment.

Meridian CIO Rob Bolton also referred inquiries to Fujitsu.

When the deal was done last year, the consortium of Fujitsu, TelstraClear and Transfield Services replaced a group of vendors which included Gen-i, ABB and Hewlett-Packard.
