Vodafone global chief Vittorio Colao is visiting New Zealand next month to address staff and meet with key customers.
Vodafone NZ spokesperson Matt East says the visit is part of Colao’s “commitment to visiting all local markets”. He was last in New Zealand in March.
Colao was appointed chief executive of Vodafone Group mid-2008. He joined the Board in October 2006 as chief executive, Europe and deputy chief executive. East was not able to provide any further detail on Colao's schedule due to security requirements. Colao will no doubt have plenty to discuss while he is in town. There is the loss of 35,000 connections in the past financial quarter and that surprising partnership with Telecom in the bid for the Rural Broadband Initiative for starters.
