New Zealand audio technology developer Phitek Systems has settled a patent infringement dispute that led to a complaint being made against the company to the US International Trade Commission.
Phitek has settled with audio giant Bose Corporation without making any admission of infringement or liability, it says in a statement.
Computerworld broke the news that Phitek was involved in the dispute in September.
Phitek, its customers Audio Technica and Creative Labs have signed a confidential settlement agreement with Bose, however, Phitek has agreed to modify elements of its products as part of the agreement.
Bose has, in turn, agreed that the modified products are clear of the Bose patents at issue.
