Certus buys Australian IBM specialist

New Zealand IBM specialist Certus Solutions has acquired Australian firm Eos Solutions. The resulting organisation, which will retain the Certus Solutions name, will be the largest specialist IBM software service and support company in the region, according to a Certus statement announcing the acquisition.

The merged company will have more than 100 staff in Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and will have a 400-strong customer base.

In the announcement statement, Certus CEO Brian Allen says, “As a result of the acquisition, Eos’ customers will have greater access to development, support and integration services across the whole IBM software product product range.
