Unified comms provider Zeacom reports growth

Auckland-based unified communications software developer Zeacom has reported increases in revenue, headcount and customers at the VoiceCon conference and show in Orlando, Florida.

Global revenue rose by over 15 percent and the number of employees jumped to nearly 150, the company says. Zeacom now claims more than 179,000 daily users within 2,800 organisations.

Zeacom is a private company so no accounts were released with the announcement. It also did not disclose its profit or loss.

Zeacom's shareholders include the Accident Compensation Corporation and several AMP Capital Investments companies as well as private investors.

"Despite a global economic downturn, 2009 marked a significant period of growth for Zeacom, which reinforces the value our solutions deliver to SMEs," CEO Miles Valentine says.

Other milestones of note for Zeacom in 2009 include the launch of its US Associate Channel Manager Programme; the introduction of Zeacom Gateway for Microsoft OCS, the availability of the Record and Evaluate module, and upgrades to the Zeacom Communications Center platform including enhanced presence, executive audio conferencing, chat and Outlook contact screen-pop.
