A couple of themes emerge from the two major categories of this year’s New Zealand Hi Tech Awards: offshore success and high growth.
The four finalists in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Company of the Year category aren’t just targeting overseas markets, says category judge Garth Biggs, they already have established presences offshore.
Meanwhile, in the NZX Emerging Company of the Year category, all four finalists have and continue to achieve very high growth rates, according to judge Den Chapman.
The four finalists in the Company of the Year award include familiar names to anyone in the ICT industry: health software developer Orion Health and IT services giant Datacom. Alongside them are perhaps less familiar names, Compac Sorting Equipment and BankLink.
