FRAMINGHAM (10/08/2003) - A Massachusetts District Court ruled that Boston College and MIT do not have to comply with Recording Industry Association of America Inc. (RIAA) subpoenas demanding that the schools reveal the identities of students believed to be infringing on copyrights and sharing music. The subpoenas are part of a massive effort on the part of the RIAA to stop peer-to-peer sharing of music files.
