GETA look at the DNASIS GeneIndex

FRAMINGHAM (10/23/2003) - Available on a subscription basis, MiraiBio Inc.'s DNASIS GeneIndex service is a data-integration and query service for genomic sequences and information. Powered by GETA (Generic Engine for Transportable Association), a text-mining engine developed by Hitachi Ltd. Central Research and the IPA (Information Technology Promotion Agency, Japan), DNASIS GeneIndex allows researchers to search more than 23 public and private biological databases worldwide with a single query. The Web-based system features SSL encryption, ensuring secure access to data. Additional knowledge-mining features simplify journal retrieval by identifying and retrieving relevant abstracts and articles for the particular sequence of interest, the company says.
