Shell CIO appointed to security vendor board

FRAMINGHAM (10/01/2003) - Michael J. Rose, group CIO for Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies, was elected to the board of directors for NetIQ Corp. of San Jose, Calif. Prior to Shell, Rose held various positions at Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) for 23 years. He served as controller for various HP divisions, was appointed CIO and a vice president in 1997, and was elected an officer of the company in 2000. Rose holds a bachelor's degree in economics from State University of New York in Geneseo, New York.
