FRAMINGHAM (10/20/2003) - The Capital Region of the United States (Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C.) has more affluent households with Internet access than any other region as 35.8 percent of households in this region have annual incomes greater than US$75,000. New England is the second-most affluent region as 35.1 percent of Internet households fitting the affluent category. The Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon) had the fewest number of households (20.4 percent) with an income of greater than $75,000.
