FRAMINGHAM (10/03/2003) - IBM Corp. said it has acquired an application porting services business focused on its Linux and Unix servers from Austin-based Sector7 USA Inc. for an undisclosed price. The deal included most of Sector7's assets and the intellectual property for its tools, which support the migration of applications to IBM's servers. IBM also said it will hire Sector7 employees to work in its IT services unit.
