FRAMINGHAM (10/03/2003) - Microsoft Corp. said it has agreed to pay a total of about US$10.5 million to settle a class-action antitrust lawsuit involving users that bought Windows directly from the company. The settlement deal needs to be approved by a U.S. District Court judge in Baltimore before it becomes effective. The plaintiffs had sought to include a much larger group of users in the suit, but court rulings narrowed the scope of the case.
