FRAMINGHAM (10/24/2003) - IBM Corp. added an unlimited-user license for its DB2 Express database, which is aimed at small and midsize companies. The license costs US$3,899, compared with IBM's regular price of $624 for the software plus $124 per end user. The move by IBM followed Oracle Corp.'s announcement earlier this month of an entry-level database priced at $5,995 for an unlimited number of users.
