Insurance and financial services software provider Tacit Group is understood to have made major layoffs in New Zealand. Sources say the company is getting rid of 60 staff.
Melbourne-based CEO Paul Jennings was overseas last week and not available for comment. Computerworld was referred to Tacit's Auckland-based CFO, Steve Fullerton, but after several phone calls during which he said he would get back with comment, he failed to do so by deadline.
Tacit was established in 1986, based on an actuarial consulting company. It has offices in Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong and the UK. It is best known for its Talisman range of products.
