New deputy CEO at Faritec

JOHANNESBURG (03/09/2004) - Faritec Holdings Ltd. Tuesday announced the appointment of Dr. Hasmukh Gajjar as deputy CEO of the company. It says that Gajjar's focus will be to develop the BEE and transformation framework for Faritec, as well as to assist in developing new business offerings, and to grow Faritec's client base.

Faritec says that Gajjar brings a wealth of experience to the company as a result of him having held the position of President of the Black Business Council and Black IT Forum, being a member of the ICT Charter task team, as well as various roles in many other ICT forums and bodies.

Prior to this appointment, Gajjar was an executive director at Faritec following the empowerment transaction that Faritec concluded in April 2003 with a consortium led by the J&J Group and union investment company, Lesaka Holdings.
