Remote training

FRAMINGHAM (01/15/2004) - To reach more scientists, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) is now broadcasting its clinical trial training programs over satellite and via Web videocasts. "In the past, researchers have relied on mentors to teach them how to conduct clinical trials," says John Gallin, director of the NIH Clinical Center. "We have established a formalized training program to fill this critical gap, and we're extending it (globally)." The current training session is being transited to nine offsite centers worldwide.
