JOHANNESBURG (04/02/2004) - South Africa (SA) storage and mobility solutions distributor Channel Data has appointed Leano Technology Holdings Pty. Ltd. as a Legato Software Authorised Partner in a move that will enable Leano to sell Legato solutions to its South African customer-base.
This partnership forms part of Channel Data's Ukhuhula (Growth) Programme that aims to empower the channel to successfully sell leading storage solutions to the local marketplace.
Significantly, Leano Technology Holdings is the distributor's first combined SAP AG and Oracle Corp. solutions partner, Channel Data says.
"We believe that our partnership with Leano Technology Holdings will greatly assist us creating in opportunities within in the SAP and Oracle South African marketplaces," comments Amit Parbhucharan, technology marketing director at Channel Data.
"Also, we feel that the company will contribute greatly to the promotion and adoption of Legato Software solutions in SA."
In addition, Leano Technology Holdings has singed up for Channel Data's Open Distribution Reseller Programme, which will allow it to provide complementary products to its customer-base. These include tape libraries and disk backup products from Quantum and Overland Storage, replication and mirroring technologies from Legato Software and the newly available Attachment Executive software for e-mail content and capacity reduction.
