Wireless speaker expands Motorola's Bluetooth portfolio

Motorola Inc. has unveiled the latest addition to its Bluetooth portfolio -- the new HF800 Portable Wireless Speaker. According to the company, the Motorola HF800 Portable Wireless Speaker is a compact and stylish accessory that can act as a hands-free speakerphone or wireless headset jack when connected to any compatible Bluetooth-enabled device up to a 10-meter range.

"We continue to strive to offer consumers compelling communications solutions that enable them to enjoy the active, mobile lifestyles that they crave," says Jacky Humphries, marketing and new business development director, Motorola Southern Africa. "The Motorola HF800 Portable Wireless Speaker is a perfect example of this, delivering a powerful solution for business people who want to cut the cord from the office conference phone, or for people who are always on the go, and want an easy-to-use solution for hands-free communications."

The Motorola HF800 Portable Wireless Speaker fits in the palm of your hand, and features a one-Watt speaker that delivers clear, crisp sound quality by using echo and noise reduction technology, he adds.

Ease of use is designed to complement the product's convenience and portability. Users can simply push the multifunction button to answer, end or initiate a call, and can also use it to perform three-way calling and call hold functions; the company adds. The speaker's battery life is said to allow for a talk time of up to three hours and a standby time of up to 100 hours. Additionally, charging is simple, as the new Motorola HF800 Portable Wireless Speaker uses the same travel and car chargers as most compatible Motorola phones, Motorola adds.

Bluetooth enthusiasts will appreciate the fact that the Motorola HF800 with Bluetooth wireless technology stores device-pairing information and wirelessly interacts with up to eight different Bluetooth 1.1 compliant devices, including handsets, PDAs and computers, the company concludes.
