JOHANNESBURG (03/23/2004) - Hewlett-Packard Co.'s (HP's) new all-in-one Officejet 5510 is targeted at local SoHos, aiming to offer photo-quality printing, copying and faxing, and thus increase productivity while driving down costs.
Comments Zandré Rudolph, HP business manager at local distributor, Rectron: "The OJ 5510 prints at up to 4 800 x 1 200 optimized dpi, therefore, offering photo-quality documents, a plus for businesses that need high-quality documentation without the associated costs."
The Officejet 5510 is said to feature a flatbed design with integrated 20-page automatic document feeder for timesaving faxing, scanning and copying. The printer is also easy to control as it boasts text LCD and on-touch buttons that help to complete most tasks without a PC, the company says.
Looking at other printing features, the Officejet 5510 is said to print at up to 17 pages per minute (ppm) in black and up to 12ppm in color. It is also bundled with HP's Photo and Imaging software that is designed to simplify photo and video functions with intuitive software screens.
These screens aim to enable viewing, editing and sharing photos to specific tasks such as printing or scanning -- in a single, integrated application. "The Officejet 5510 is the ideal MFP for SoHos that still require advanced printing, while at the same time saving costs as well as time," he concludes.
