Norming announces Asset Management 5.2 for Accpac

Accpac International Inc. development partner, Norming Software International, has announced the release of the 5.2 versions of its range of Accpac companion products. The new version will make a complete asset management solution by adding many new features, including asset maintenance management, lease management and barcode tracking.

According to Bruce Li, MD at Norming Software, one of the newly released modules is Norming Expense Reimbursement version 5.1.

"Expense Reimbursement is a flexible tool to streamline the employee expense booking, distribution, approval, reporting and reimbursement process," says Li. "The feature provides enhanced capabilities for all its core functions, and the Web-based reimbursement request system empowers employees to book and review expenses via an Internet browser, anywhere and at any time."

On the back end, the reimbursement feature aims to offer longer description and reference fields. It is also integrated with tax services, which means that tax groups can be attached to each individual employee, the company says. Flexible tax calculation is enabled for expense vouchers and the like, Li adds.

On the front end, the reimbursement feature has been developed using Microsoft .NET frameworks and methodologies. It is designed to synchronise the front and back-end data, and offers a workflow-like configuration wizard for ease of administration and maintenance.

The Norming range also offers various security features, one of these being Norming Bank Security, which enables organizations to monitor and control the users who can see or use certain bank accounts based on user permissions, the company adds.

"Another security module is the inventory security facet, which enables organizations to control the user access to the Inventory Control (IC) items and locations," says Li. "The sales security feature is also new, and enables organizations to control user access to customers, price lists, Order Entry (OE) and sales histories."
