JOHANNESBURG (03/16/2004) - Aiming to enable customers to gain full value from their Oki laser printers, and to reduce corporate printing and stationery costs, Printacom, a division of MB Technologies Group, has announced the availability of Oki's high-quality print media.
"The evolution of laser printers has seen the cost per printed page reduce, while the quality of mono and color prints has improved exponentially," says Neil Rom, MD of Printacom. "By making Oki media available, Printacom is assisting customers in further reducing their printing expenses, by allowing them to create their stationery products in-house."
The new media is being launched as part of Oki's in-house color printing (ICP) program. The goal behind ICP is to encourage users to create their own corporate collateral, from business cards to banners, through reducing the costs of material and printing, Printacom says.
"ICP aims to educate users about the potential cost savings available to companies if they make full use of their laser printers' capabilities," explains Rom. "This furthers our aim of becoming a full-service printing company, focused on delivering business benefits in all facets of the printer industry."
Printacom says that it will not be supplying standard media such as office paper or labels, as this market is already well catered for. It will only supply specialist media that support the selling points of Oki's printers, or offer real advantages to business, the company says.
