JOHANNESBURG (03/11/2004) - Liberty Group Ltd. has awarded a three-year outsourcing services contract to Datacentrix Holdings Ltd. The deal encompasses a comprehensive desktop hardware maintenance contract that spans approximately 4,500 devices nationwide.
According to Stewart Barker, MD: Datacentrix Services, the new partnership is an evolution of a business relationship with Liberty, which primarily revolved around the provision of Hewlett-Packard Co. equipment.
Pointing out that Liberty Group has strict policies and rules when engaging in new local business contracts, Chris Pieters, head of client support: problem and change management at Liberty Group, says Datacentrix' track record of delivering 99 percent on its service level agreements (SLAs) was the deal clincher.
"The company's extensive experience in hardware and the end-user outsourced arena, as well as its strong track record in Black Economic Empowerment initiatives and corporate responsibility, were also important considerations," he says.
"We have dealt with Datacentrix in the past and the company has a good understanding of our ICT requirements and business ethos -- the service we have enjoyed over the past months justifies our confidence."
Datacentrix has allocated a dedicated team to the Liberty account, which is located around the country and has immediate access to hardware components to meet the requirements of the contract.
"This latest agreement is the start of a long-term business partnership with Liberty Group, which holds many possibilities for the future," Barker says.
