Consumers expect RFID to raise costs

FRAMINGHAM (02/13/2004) - According to research by EMarketer Inc., many consumers (41 percent) expect the use of RFID to raise the cost of goods. About one in five (18 percent) don't expect costs to change while 17 percent expect the cost of goods to shrink. One in four (25 percent) could not assess the impact of RFID on cost.
