Export-Import Bank names new CIO

FRAMINGHAM (02/13/2004) - Fernanda Young joined The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) as CIO. She comes to the Washington, D.C.-based bank from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) where she served in a similar position. Prior to FERC, Young held senior technical managerial positions at the U.S. Department of Justice, NASA, Planning Research Corporation Inc. and RMS Technologies. Young was the co-chair of the Small and Independent Agency CIO Council and is active in government-wide review boards and committees for program assessments, enterprise architecture, and information security.

She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and physics, a master's in computer sciences, and a doctorate in operations research, all from the University of Grenoble in France.
